My family and I love this place. We have been coming here multiple of times. Especially my wife, she love this place so much. We always order Suan Cai Yu (a fish soup with pickled cabbage) which is their signature dish. We tried the original version with the steam fish. The fish here taste so delicate and smooth, and plus they already fillet it and take out all of the bones for your convenience. The cabbage is so crunchy. The soup taste so complex (sour, salty, savory, fragarance, herbal, spicy) yet so memorable; for a first timer, it may taste rather unique, but after the second try, you would want to go back to eat all the time. Just like what it does to me and my wife, even my kids also like it. The second best dish here, in my opinion, is the dry chilli chicken. The crunch and the savory taste of chicken skin bits (and sometimes the chicken meat bits) mixed with twirled fried dough and chopped crunchy spring onion is so good. It has a hint of sweet and a tad spicy accent to the dish, which actually works well. The third one is the roasted duck. Aromatic, enough fat and meat ratio, crispy skin, juicy meat, what else you could ask for, very very nice. The icing on the cake is the service. For some time, it could be a bit slow, but for sure they are very polite and very very attentive. Plus they always smile and give a short chat to brighten up your day.

I finally got to try this restaurant; it is always crowded and has a long queue around dinner time, both weekdays and weekends. So we change our game plan and go there at 5 PM to avoid the long queues. This restaurant is famous for its fish soup with pickled veggies (sayur asin); as I'm not a big fan of fish soup, I doubt the taste. So the four of us end up ordering sour green pickled grouper, seafood collagen congee (my backup plan if I don’t like the soup), chong qing spicy chicken, fried bean curd rolls, salted egg lava ball (onde-one! My other backup plan to help to clean my tongue if anything goes south), for the drink we order hot Chinese tea, one thing I just remember, they have 70ish pages of the menu, so take your time and look at those beautiful photos of mouth-watering dessert, or check them out from the link tree of their IG before heading to the restaurant. The first food that came out was the congress, and it was very delicious, far better than I expected. The balance of flavor, the perfectly cooked seafood, the texture of the congee, it is all perfect!!! After that, the soup came, and I bravely dug in. Also, surprisingly, I like it; it is not too sour, the fish tastes fresh, and the mala spice is not too strong. Also, the balance of taste fascinates me because I had a bad experience eating mala when I was in Hong Kong; you can dip the fried bean curd rolls into the soup and get an elevation of taste and texture to your eating experience; it is lovely. The following dish is the chicken, in my perspective it is not as good as we expected, considering the price and our experience eating the same dish at different restaurants it's is not that good, they are served on a big plate, but the chicken is self have a small quantity, what makes it look big is the spices, well we’re disappointed with this menu. Luckily, the dessert has come, the salted chicken once-onde or salted egg lava ball in their term; I like them so much; they lighten the mood after the chicken. So let's talk about the venue, it turns out it is not as big as we imagined (no wonder it is hard to get a table and the long queue), it only has the capacity of around 14 tables, with a capacity of each around 4-6 people. The vibe is excellent, a modern Chinese vibe, and they have outdoor seating also. Will I return there next time? Indeed, they have lots of things going on on the menu, and I would love to try them (but for the fish soup, once is enough for me)

Trying something new. There was a long queue when we got there, the person with the queue list was very helpful and explained how many people we had to wait very carefully. Do take note that they just shout your name to call when it's your turn, so be sure to have someone standing by if you want to look around or leave. The person before us was no show, even after another male server from the back practically screamed the name out loud. Anyway we benefited and went in earlier. The food was okay i suppose. Nothing really special. Oh perhaps the long beans (pica included) left a good impression. Everything else was okay. I wouldn't say it was great, for me it wasn't worth the wait. Or maybe because i just bought the budget dishes and didn't try the real expensive fish. Well, its a good new experience.

The fish soup is indeed worthy of 2 thumbs up!!. The taste of the broth is sour and fresh mixed with the savory taste of fish. We chose grouper fish for this soup. The fish meat is very soft and fresh. Then the salted egg corn is also very delicious. The sezhuan chicken should not be forgotten. Only the fried rice is ordinary. The food at this restaurant is indeed extraordinary. But the price is quite expensive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good, bright and clean.
